Open Thread: 5/27, Padres vs. Nationals
Washington Nationals at San Diego Padres, May 27, 2008 7:05 PM PDT
All of these Padres home games in a row and I've only been to one game. I'm a terrible Padres fan.
Yay Padres!

Someday, when I’m back in San Diego, I’m gonna lead lots of “Let’s Go” cheers. And then I’ll shred these lazy bums on the blog.

I HAVE to go...
btw I’M SELLING MY TRUCK! (this is not the place for details, but if anyone knows anyone that might be interested, e-mail me).
I’m hoping that my stuffing my friend’s (nat fan) mailbox full of those cheap bags of padre peanuts about an hour ago, has not jinxed this game before it started!
Didn’t somebody on here get hit on by an ump once? Write his number down on a ball or somethin?
Laters…

If only he always hit like Milty.

Seattle is currently beating boston. We do not want to be the worst team in baseball because we can’t beat the Nats.

Not a chance he weighs less than 350 pounds.
Great play by Iguchi….but did anyone notice Dmitri Young isn’t even IN THE FRAME when A-Gon gets that lob throw from Iguchi? I’m shocked he doesn’t have a pinch runner while he’s batting.

Whenever I get really excited for the possibility of a huge win streak from these guys
I have to remind myself that A) Peavy and Young are out, and B) They’re the Padres.
Regardless, this was a great win and I hope for a sweep of the Nationals at this point. They’ve got a lot of games to make up.
"If I wasn't Bob Dylan, I'd probably think that Bob Dylan has a lot of answers myself." - Bob Dylan
Peavy
Seems to think he’s going to pitch this weekend. I think next Thursday (vs. Mets) is more likley, that would be Banks’ second scheduled start. I guess it’s possible he takes The Sauce’s Tuesday start. Of course Jake is very overly optimistic.

I'm thinking June 2.
Although SF is a shorter flight from Portland. The pressure is definitely off him with Kouz and Adrian hitting and maybe Khalil and Barrett finding some sort of groove. That is, unless he kicks the ball around in LF.
I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.
Hey this is cheating but...
