Open Thread: 5/27, Padres vs. Nationals

Washington Nationals at San Diego Padres, May 27, 2008 7:05 PM PDT

All of these Padres home games in a row and I've only been to one game.  I'm a terrible Padres fan.

Yay Padres!

Here's a shameless little plug for an MLB website:

State Farm and MLB.com are teaming up to bring you Call your Shot .

You could win a dream trip to the 2008 MLB® All-Star WeekTM, then stand at home plate and Call Big Papi's shot before the State Farm Home Run Derby® for a chance at a Chevy Tahoe hybrid. Just complete the form below to enter today.

I have to remind myself that A) Peavy and Young are out, and B) They’re the Padres.

Regardless, this was a great win and I hope for a sweep of the Nationals at this point. They’ve got a lot of games to make up.

Seems to think he’s going to pitch this weekend. I think next Thursday (vs. Mets) is more likley, that would be Banks’ second scheduled start. I guess it’s possible he takes The Sauce’s Tuesday start. Of course Jake is very overly optimistic.
