Well, it's that time of year again!

(Well, actually tomorrow through Sunday really is, but whatever.) The time when the Mariners and Padres, AKA the Natural/Hated Rivals of Major League Baseball face off in their annual battle for supremacy! And it's even more special this year as it's a battle for sole possession of the worst record in the Major Leagues! Woohoo! Good luck and, uh, please sweep us so we can have the #1 overall pick in next year's draft and pick Stephen Strasburg! Thanks!

Do not look into Miguel Batista's eyes!

They’re like the Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland.

After today, I think we are gonna strikeout another thirty times by the time this series is done. Here’s to killing gnats/generating wind energy/the Mariners catching colds.

The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

Sweet

Heading to the game tomorrow and Saturday with a crew of Padres Fans from Portland, Oregon. We’re expecting a couple of 1-0 games that somehow aren’t pitching duels. The weather is going to be really nice and we don’t have too many chances a season to watch the boys play, so it should be radical. GO PADS!

I hear Matt Bush will be picked #1

Don't worry.....

Matt Bush was picked ahead of Verlander. VERLANDER IS HORRIBLE!!! Matt Bush final career numbers will be hall of fame-esque. Verlander will only win a ROY and throw a couple no-hitters. No biggie

Good thing you're hear to complain about it.

Because it’s changing the situation. I can feel it. Can’t you?

Fantasy update: Verlander is 1-7 with a 6.05 ERA.

Matt Bush is where?

you’re honestly telling me that you’d rather have Matt Bush over Verlander? I don’t mean to be so combative but when I hear things like that, it makes me cringe.

Who cares where he is

He hasnt given our team seven loses…not that we need any help

Me fail English? That's unpossible!

Why do you flame so.

You make baby Jesus cry.

I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

Richie Sexon

Will he be playing during this first meeting? CY’s on the mound Friday and we don’t need another brawl ala Derrek Lee. Or do we?

I hope Richie plays

Shawn Estes and Glendon Rusche could even get Richie out.

Miguel Cairo will!

And he’ll guess all of the pitches! Of course they’ll already be in the catcher’s mitt.

We will crush the Mariners!

Though I have to agree with Lookout Landing, this is likely to be one boring-ass series.

That guy impressed me and I am not easily impressed.... Wow. A *blue car*. -Homer Simpson
