"Somebody wants him," Padres ace Jake Peavy said Saturday. "He can help somebody. It sucks that this is probably the last year of his career and he's got to sit here and be a part of this and have (this be) the last thing he remembers in baseball -- if this thing doesn't turn."

what's Maddux's career stats at Chase Field?

I think he should only go to the Red Sox, Angels, or D-backs

I hope he gets to pitch in a World Series game this year, and I hope he passes that douchebag Clemens in career Wins.

He needs 5 more wins to do just that. The Padres are my favorite team forever and Maddux is a great pitcher, but 5 starts for 350 and he’s been pitching well? Greg you’re awesome, please don’t go to the Dodgers…

He already played for the Dodgers

and surely has no intent on going back. I would say the only teams he has a shot at playing for are the Cubs or Braves, and with Glavine back in Atlanta and Smoltz never leaving, I’d say Atlanta.

But he isn’t going anywhere, anyway.

I dedicate the posts I'm submitting to the big gangsta CHARMIN and my main man, Bissel Air Freshener.

The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

Yeah, it's a bit over the top

these people think Maddux is leaving.

If...

We are 9+ games out in mid-July then absolutely trade Maddux and re-sign him at the start of next season, until then it’s better to have him take the ball every 5th day. Plus, I think is value will be higher closer to July 31st.

I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.

I could think of another team who needs him...

THE PADRES!!!

Why would we want to give him up? I don’t think the Pads are as bas as we have been, and we’ll get in gear. And we need Maddux.

That being said, I agree with Wonko. We should only try to trade him closer to the tradeline if we are too far behind. Teams in contention will be more willing to give up more for an arm that could help a team in the playoffs…

Fy fan! (That means damn in Swedish).
