GameThread, 5/10: Padres vs Rockies
Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres, May 10, 2008 7:05 PM PDT
[Note by jbox, 05/10/08 6:48 PM PDT ]
Look at this line up. Gerut batting first, Giles in the three hole, Paul batting before Khalil. This is so crazy, it might just work!
Go Padres!!!

I have a good feeling about these ABs

Hell yes.
This team was so due for one of those.

That was such a good AB from Aid
Getting pissed off at himself after getting down 0-2 and then regrouping. We haven’t seen that all year from anybody.

Great performance by Maddux tonight.
We need to hold this one, or pile on. That would be good, too.

Oh it’s nice to be the team abusing a pitcher on the basepaths for once.

Paul DePodesta has started a blog
You know what that is? That’s balls. Throw the blog out there just as the team is hitting rock bottom. I heart that guy big time.

I got an email from him letting us know about it
At least somebody that works for the Padres is willing to give Gaslamp Ball a little sliver of a scoop.
something. anything.
We’d take it as a scoop if you knew what concession stands were going to be open from game to game.
On his email signature
what does he list as his title? Just asking since I get no Pad exec emails lately.
Baseball is like church. Many attend; few understand.
Leo Durocher
he actually doesn't list a title
Maybe he’s as confused about his actual job as everybody else in the baseball world and doesn’t want to advertise anything in writing as to what he might be expected to do.
Nice arm Giles
that throw landed in the grass. i say this as i reference something in my fanpost about Bar Ideas
This is why nobody was cooing about
our 3 to 1 lead.

Fun game to be at. The HR by Adrian was a thing of beauty. Nice to see Trevor again. Congrats Mad Dog! Great win! Go Pads!!
Padres for life
Anybody notice...

Wow
What was that? A WIN?!!! 350/530. What a game. Alex’s little league treated us to a western metal suite tonight and it was awesome!! What a treat to witness history. We also realized that Alex has now been to 2 games and the Padres won both of them!! Which is kinda sad when you think that he’s seen more than 10% of their victories…
