The team has so far faced pretty much every stud NL pitcher around. Man, does this team love excuses.
Tickets for the All-Star Game are cheap this year, if you are a rich guy. Good thing there won't be too many Padres wasting their time in that silly exhibition game.
CY goes against Jamie "I'm not dead yet" Moyer tonight. Game time is 4:05pm PDT.

Knock off the optimism, okay? Nobody wants to hear that kind of stuff around here anymore. Don’t try to convince me that Ricky Nolasco isn’t the next Sandy Koufax. I know better.

If we don’t take 3 out of the next 4, then this Padres team is officially one of the worst I’ve seen in the last 30 years… in which case, I’ll pop in later (maybe October) to see how things are going.

My guesses
Nick Hundley will be added and start splitting time with Bard. Morton goes off the 25 man roster.
A long shot is Will Venable. He’s been hitting pretty well in AAA could be a CF candidate at some point.
I watched all 23 innings and all I got was this lousy signature.
