Watching the Cardinals home opener, the announcers got a surprise message around the 7th inning. Jim Edmonds texted the play by play dude and told him that he misses STL and the fans and to say hello to everyone.
The Padres game hadn't started yet...but still, shouldn't Jimmy Ballgame be more focused than watching his old team play?

Edmonds....
I agree with you nerdhater. Is anybody getting the same sense from Edmonds that we got from Mirabelli? Is it possible that he's missing St. Louis like crazy and is thinking he made a big mistake?

He "misses" St. Louis because he's hurt right now and nobody in San Diego really cares because we have outfielders here. He "misses" St. Louise because he figures his best shot at becoming a media figure after he retires is in the announcers booth at Busch. Mirabelli was a jerk. Edmonds is just making sure he didn't burn any bridges.
