Open Thread, 4/29: Padres vs. Phillies

San Diego Padres at Philadelphia Phillies, Apr 29, 2008 4:05 PM PDT

You know what today is?   It's Visit to the Vault day.  This is the day that Jim "the Genius" Pursel and the Mark Grant Fan Club makes its annual trip to the ballpark to cheer for Mark Grant.  Can you believe this is already the 5th year of Visiting the Vault?  Me neither.

Greg Maddux tries yet again to get his 350th career win.  He battles Cole Hamels, husband of Heidi from Survivor the TV show.

Also keep your eyes out for Chase's Chicks as they try to seduce Chase Utley.

Don't forget to boo Jayson Werth.

So

I’d like to see Crabbe start at SS sometime. Mix things up a bit. I’m just sayin’.

Black

needs to shake up the lineup. Drop Giles to the 2 spot. Move Hairston up and see more playing time.

I’m always expecting him to start talking about some epic football game.

I have said it before

Hairston should be the everyday centerfielder.
