FYI: New Community Guidelines
These got changed and I just wanted to make sure that they were clear for everyone who's agreed to the previous set of guidelines. The gist of it? If you're not sure if your comment's going to get you banned, then think hard before you post it. Thanks.
Gaslamp Ball is a community primarily for San Diego Padres fans. Any comments posted or read on the site should be considered with that context in mind. Flame baiting and trolling the Gaslamp Ball community will not be tolerated.
The site managers (Dex, jbox and Kev) make no apologies for giving preferential treatment to Padres fans or to established readers and friends of the site.
It is completely up to the site managers' discretion as to what warrants a banning, but the following links give a basic definition of what we do not want:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=flame+bait
Thanks for your cooperation. Go Padres!

What happens when you mix college reading assignments with GLB on the laptop..

Agreed- to a point
Where do you draw the line though? I have absolutely no problem with admins banning trolls to maintain the integrity of the site, but what happens if one day, an “established reader” posts a particularly inflammatory comment that is deemed to be inappropriate? Do you reprimand or ban or what?

there's no line
That’s the beauty part of it. Everything is case by case. People just need to think before they post. Is this comment or fanpost truly expressing an opinion or is it just to make everyone here angry? People get warned as necessary, but in some cases, it’s painfully obvious when somebody’s just around to cause trouble for their own enjoyment and they don’t last long.

Ghandi
If Gandhi were a blogger, that quote might read “don’t feed the trolls”. Unfortunately, that seems to be something that many of readers are unable to do. We like having you around… JUST DON’T FEED THE TROLLS.
