I managed to get a copy of the official rule book.
According to section 1.02 “The objective of each team is to win by scoring more runs than the opponent.”
According to section 1.03 “The winner of teh game shall be the team which shall have scored, in accordance with these rules, the greater number of runs at the conclusion of a regulation game.”
Quick! Somebody fax, email, twittter, or otherwise get to info to Bud Black quick! I dont’ think he realizes these rule changes. This may be what we need to do to win!

I had soooo much fun at the game, especially coz they won AND scored runs….
I sat next to this guy that kept asking me questions like “why are they clapping?” (when Germano came out) and “why are they booing their own player?” (kooz). So it was so great to come home and read the thread and all the same comments that were going through my head, like “why? why Thatcher?” and “are you kidding me (edmonds)?”
I so wanted the Mortons’ first big league hit to be a solo shot to win the game so that we could call him “joltin’colt morton”!
