2008 Chargers schedule

So the Bolts unveiled their schedule for next year.  Although we already knew who we are going to play now we know when and what time....PRIMETIME!  The Charge is to have five primetime games (three to be called by Madden).  To top it off, four of the five primetime games will be at the Q!  I can't remember the Chargers ever having half their home games at night.  The most I can remember were three after the Super Bowl.  The Colts and Patriots are no brainers for a national audience...let the world see footballs greatest team!  September 7th seems so far away.

Sept. 7 ... Carolina
Sept. 14 ... at Denver
Sept. 22 ... *New York Jets

That schedule is wonderful

Could this (finally!) be the year?

by matto619 on Apr 15, 2008 4:38 PM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

it's really really good

no offense to those teams, but we don’t have a really tough opponent till new england in week 6. At pittsburgh will be tough, but to get both Indy and the patriots at home is just awesome.

THIS IS OUR YEAR, BOYS!!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb

and say “No.”

Remember – they are still the Chargers.

norv

One poster commented to that story with the phrase "Where else but the GLB," and my thought was "Thankfully not at places like the Snakepit or Purple Row."

haters!

one of you guys said that last season wouldn’t go well and the chargers ended up taking it to the title game. fess up!

by Dex on Apr 15, 2008 6:28 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Oh, I'm sure it was me

And I’ll stand behind that statement. And repeat it for this season.

Norv is not the man.

Norv did fine last year

He just needs to stop making that face

I like the bye

right in the middle

Pats and Indy

Have their byes in the first bye week. Sucks for them.

This is going to be THE year.

Just stay out of the way, Norval, and don’t kill our offense.

Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

Just thank god

you don’t have to face the Browns.

I ask again

Can we please get a Chargers blog on SB Nation?

by matto619 on Apr 15, 2008 8:18 PM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Who do I ask?

I’ll gladly get it started if that’s what it takes

by matto619 on Apr 17, 2008 12:01 AM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

The problem

is that SB Nation will want some body to write every day about the Chargers even during the off-season. Jon is good for about 10 posts a year max. Somebody else would have to do the large majority of the work.

I would be down to help contribute if you need help

I am admittedly an amateur blogger, but I love the Chargers, grew up speaking football as a second language, and am a pretty good writer to boot. I would be willing to put my name up for consideration- just throwing it out there.

Please tell me you guys will change the name of your blog

when it becomes part of SBnation. I’m sorry, but Boltz4eva is a really bad name.

And I say “when” because it’s only a matter of time at this point before we get one. Right?

What about Boltz Fo' Evah!

Like without the number 4, but with an ‘h’.

by Dex on Apr 16, 2008 6:56 AM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I wonder

who came up with “Boltz4Eva”?

by Jonny Dub on Apr 16, 2008 7:18 PM PDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Cooper

Yes, things are already looking good for the Bolts.

Must have used the same dealer

as me and Mike Cameron

I like that we have what should be our two toughest opponents at home.

Other than that, Pitt on the road will be a challenge, and that New England > fly to Buffalo > fly to London vs the Saints stretch should exhaust them and really make that week off enjoyable.

You can’t really tell much from a schedule, though…I mean, hell, Green Bay last year looked like cake on paper in April, and they turned out to be a powerhouse.

Oh, and ILB is a spot we should have been looking at in the draft anyway, but we might want to give that spot a tad more priority now that Cooper’s pulling a Jessie Spano.
