Wife: Why are you so excited?
Me: It’s Opening Day!
Wife (looking me up and down): That explains the Padres hat on your head. What’s with the rainbow tattooed on your chest?
Me: It’s Opening Day!
Wife: Okaaaaayyyy. Is that a stuffed unicorn you’re holding?
Me: It’s Opening Day!
Wife (studying me): Close your eyes for a second.
Me (closes eyes)
Wife: Why do you have “Dex” and “jbox” written on the outside of your eyelids?
Me: It’s Opening Day!
Wife: Whatever. But could you at least go put some clothes on?
Me: It’s Opening Day!
Repeat after me - Trevor is ready.
Jake and Roy won't be friends tonight.

Trade prediction:
Tim over at MLB Trade Rumors has a few trade predictions for July 2008. The Padres are in one of them:
Padres acquire Jason Bay for Kevin Kouzmanoff and Wade LeBlanc. Bay returns to San Diego to provide some power and solve the left field issue. Chase Headley takes over at third for the Padres.

over at DS as well. I think Bay is a bit overrated personally. I would want to see him put up MONSTER numbers in the first half to pull the trigger on this. The FO is also REALLY REALLY high on LeBlanc.

Opening Day
It's like Christmas. Seriously, I've been giddy ALL morning. I even wore my Padres Jersey to work to represent! And everyone I see keeps asking me if I'm ready. Dumb question in my own humble opinion, but whatevs.
