Gerut, McAnulty or Crabbe?

I think Crabbe stays b/c he is rule 5 and he can play infield.

Maybe we should try to trade P-Mac if he has any trade value.

They may try to sneak Pmac down (up?) to Portland after the season has been going for a week (or whenever Edmonds returns) and most teams' rosters are already set and can't claim him. Also, we don't need a 5th starter from April 10th through the 19th, so maybe we go to 11 pitchers. The same sneaking logic could apply to Enrique Gonzalez or Wil Ledezma.

Nice notice that Padres have off-days on April 10th and 14th ... Germano will pitch the 9th ... if he's got an option left, perhaps they do send him down until he's needed again on April 20th? I like the idea ... it buys them that much more time to evaluate and/or showcase their extra OFer, whoever that turns out to be. My guess (but not what I want) is that it will be McAnulty ... being traded ... so that he can turn into the 2008 Jack Cust :-)
