Around SBN: My First Fight: Diego Sanchez

Open Thread: 3/25, Padres vs. Royals

The game starts at 7:05 pm PST.  It will also be televised on Channel 4.

I've been staring at the screen for about 15 minutes with absolutely nothing interesting to write, so you're on your own.

That's fantastic....
I'm gonna guess you're drinking to celebrate the occasion?

Oh, Goose. No.
OK. Let's all take a collection and send Goose some dough. He obviously needs it.

McAnulty's AB?
I see in the box that McAnulty stranded him ... how was the AB?

Just right into the LF who covered the gap.

A great day for the office...
They finally opened our new employee lounge at work, and lo and behold, we're piping in Time Warner, resulting in some glorious 70" LCD high-def Padre games. Sure, I'm almost always at home by the time they come on, but I now have the option to a) play ping pong, b) eat popcorn, and c) watch the Pads in HD at the job.

This is what we fight wars for, people!!

QVC
Now Don Larsen is on hawking autographed pics of him throwing the first pitch of his perfect game.

You think he ever gets sick of talking about that game? Think he's ever like "F**k, this again? Can we talk about something else please? Anything? Can I just finish watching Matlock?"

Luis Rodriguez
If he didn't already have the last spot on the roster...he just got it with that double. Oscar, tell Chase we all said hi.

Game's on mlb.tv tonight
For those of you who like to do the whole streaming deal, it's on there with Channel 4's feed, only about 2 pitches behind.

HAHAHAHAHA
Spring Training official scorers are so bad. That's an E on Kouz? But it wasn't an E on German on that easy liner off of Giles bat? Please.

BTW - Smart of Kouz to knock that down and not try and throw out Gathright.

Hillary Clinton's missing a suit, methinks
I like how they check in with her when she's got nothing to say. "Lot of sunflower seeds, and water spitting going on down here, guys."

5 Innings
Like last year, Germ is apparently only good for 5-6 innings at a time

Defense
I know "it's only spring training" but I'm a little concerned about the somewhat lackadaisical fielding I've seen so far.

by pasadenapadre on Mar 25, 2008 8:55 PM PDT reply actions

agree ...
Padres don't have any fielders good enough to be even somewhat lackadaisical ...
