KT reportedly interested in bringing back Aki??
I'm not sure exactly what KT said because when you click on the "he'd like to sign Otsuka" link it takes you to a page that is in Japanese.....ummm...or Chinese...or is it Korean....or ummm...nevermind.

Why not?
If he’s healthy and can pitch, I see no reason why not – not to mention it would make that Rangers deal seem even more incredible and lopsided
No objections here!
This is the kind of stuff we need to do.
Take some long shots (Aki might not be that much of a longshot since he’s had sucess in the past) and see if they pan out.
If we try enough, we’re bound to find one or two ‘diamonds in the rough’ a la Jody Gerut.
Good luck Pads!
Corky's commercials
They’ve deteriorated since he left, if only for the Corky’s commercials, bring him back.
Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? ◔ヮ◔
Uncommon Sportsman :: Absurdity in play
Yeah as long as his arm is OK
I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing him back either. It might make some fans happy too…I know I’d be happy if they brought back those Corky’s commercials that Axion speaks of….whatever he gives us on the field is just a bonus.
how many different asian cultures would you like to offend?

I deleted some comments here because of name calling
Really the only thing that you might be missing is that new Gaslamp Baller Roar of the Tigers came out of hiding to suggest that the website was written in Japanese.
My apologies
I just got upset when it was insinuated I was being racist just because I didn’t know how to read a language and was told it was different things by different people.
My apologies
for using name calling as a rebuttal.
I'm surprised
Boston didn’t try to get Aki to bolster their all-Japan team to throw against the Mets.
Lame rebuttal aside, I liked Otsuka for the Pads way back, but he’s had a lot of forearm, shoulder, and elbow troubles since 2007. Might be a little to risky for comfort there.
But who knows, Trevor was cool with him using Hell’s Bells back in the World Baseball Classic. Might not have to worry about an entrance song with Otsuka back?
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Careful royhobbs
that first line might offend brewer090.
But yeah I think the Padres HAVE to go the “risky” route this off-season quite a bit. That was the one thing I was nervous about last off-season…we had to many risks and some of them paid off and some didn’t. But this off-season we kind of have no choice with our payroll. Hopefully we find more Jody Gerut “gems” than Jim Edmonds “big fat turds” this year though.
