Followed up with....

Jody Gerut goes down for the season in a freak accident in which a chipmunk was hiding out in his Christmas tree and it lunged for his throwing hand and severed 2 fingers. Ol’ 3 finger Geruts playing career was never the same.

Fabulous!

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? ◔ヮ◔

Has anyone else been paying attention this offseason?

Every silver lining has a cloud. I’m waiting to hear about Jody getting busted for passing out candy to school children in his cargo van.

Wow, we are in trouble if this is a feel good moment

For any other team, a one year contract for a player under team control would be business as usual.

make no bones.

this is a feel good moment, for sure. It’ll be one of the few this winter, but I like it. Stick him in center for the next two years, if need be. Just one more position filled, and one less reason to trade away the Ace.

We are so long over due for a solid turn of events, I’m thinking Towers shocks us all, and finds us a second base gem. Say Kouz for Casilla and a pitcher, always and a pitcher, right KT … .. or something like that.

This doesn't fill any positions

I’m just saying, it’s not like he could sign elsewhere. He was going to be a Padre in 2009. Now we just know how much money he will make.
