Twins interested in Kouzmanoff

MLBTR reports that the Twins want to trade Delmon Young for Kouz. Young's a career 98 OPS+ left-fielder. Presumably this would mean moving Chase to 3rd. Kouz is a 102 OPS+ guy, so this seems like a downgrade on its surface. However, if we end up with a better OF and a better 3B while losing out marginally on offense, I say go for it.

I'd rather get pitching

But what the hell. Sure. Why not.

Yeah yeah

Kouz is a teen heart-throb. What else is new?

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?

*sad-face*

I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Hmmmm............

Well that’d take care of two problems in one shot but Idk if Delmon Young is a fit. Maybe we can package Khalil in there and get some pitching too.

Still I predicted we would get Young in a thread a while back, that’d be bloody amazing if it came true

upgrade

kouz is older than younger delmon. i think it’s time to send kouz packing and move headley to his “natural” position and bring in a LF with some sky-high potential.

lets face it, kouz is 27 and delmon is 23 … kouz has shown some good numbers over the last two years in petco, but he’s not getting any better. as for delmon, at age 23, he still hasn’t reached his “best years.”

if we can move kouz for delmon and giles agrees to go somewhere (he said he’d agree to be traded if it improved the team…even though he wouldn’t be part of it? maybe the pads just resign him after the 09 season) delmon would fit in perfectly in right.

who knows, this could be the second straight “broken down” #1 overall that KT brings in to surprise us all (see a gonzalez … i honestly think KT can hugely improve the team with this trade.
