"They're still a player," Towers said. "... They might have to be creative with their finances to make it work."

Panic...

We’ll see how calm Wren is when Sabathia, Burnett and Lowe all sign elsewhere and he’s looking at signing Oliver Perez or trading for Jake Peavy.

Such a painful trip...to find out this is it.

You think the Braves' people read everything ever other GM says?

“Shoot, you guys! Check out what Towers said today. Aw man, and I TOTALLY thought he was all ours. Up the bid fellas…”

That’s exactly how they react. Tommy Hanson, Jason Heyward(sp), Schaefer, and Escobar will be Pads next year, and I think they’ll probably lone us Chipper for a few months just for kicks.

If wishes were horses

We’d all be eating steak.

"Whoa... You can't say stuff like that!"
"I get it Chief. I'll play ball. You just gotta blow the whistle and call the fouls. Alright?"

"Interesting decision."

I can see that taking over for “WRONG!”.
