Fort Wayne Tin Caps voted best new logo
via www.tincaps.com
Baseball in Fort Wayne brings us the news:
With 1,387 votes being cast by Minor League Baseball fans across the country, the TinCaps garnered 793 votes (57% of all votes cast) to route the competition.
I'll be perfectly honest and admit that I hadn't even realized that the Wizards had changed their name. I'm looking forward to the actual uniforms. I'm picturing some Captain EO style metallic fabrics and/or extensive use of vegegation.
Maybe a Project Runway episode is needed here! Make it work!

I like this logo
though the apple should look more friendly and be missing a tooth.

It took me forever to figure out
that there’s not a branch growing out of the metal.

Meatball reincarnate.
Yes. Hoffman’s agent is a sloppy drunk. That is exactly what I’m saying.

Everyone Seems to Love it But Fort Wayne
When they first announced the new name and logo, there was a lot of backlash in the community. I was glad to see the MiLB faithful recognize it’s fit with the rest of the Minor League Baseball landscape. Heck, when the Wizards’ name was announced more than a decade ago, most of the communtiy hated it too. Can’t wait to see the merchandise either. I’m told it should be available in time for the holidays.
