Blue Jays claim Hayhurst from Padres
Just like that he's gone. Here's his recent interview with Ducksnorts.

How very fitting
Not that Dirk was great or anything, but he was sort of the one feel-good story of the season. Now there’s nothing left to feel good about in regard to 2008.

But is it really?
Because I’m pretty sure 2009 is just going to be an extension of 2008.

I'm trying to forget the 2008 Padres completely
So in ten years, I won’t even remember Edmonds, Iguchi, Huber, etc. ever having played for the Padres.
And with the Chargers being the new source of my frustrations, forgetting these Padres has been easy.
i kinda liked hayhurst as a person
the pitching needed work but its kinda sad to see hes gone
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Indeed; me too.
As I’ve said before, I’ve been a fan since the first time I read his “Non-Prospect Diary”. So much for him being a GLB correspondant…

Oh, I was gonna say
wasn’t he the blogger guy that Kipper liked (=respected not fancied!).
I was close.
You posting before me actually saved me getting corrected (=bored to death) by wonko.
See WG, a little light?
Thank goodness that's over!

"corrected(=bored to death)" is the funniest thing I've read here in months
Can’t stop laughing.

I actually snorted when I laughed at that.

After reading that
It appears Dirk has a mature perspective on life. He sure has alot to say. And he says it well.
I will miss him throwing seeds at us when we sat on the fence. We’d give him the “eye” and he would just smirk back.
I wish him nothing but good luck.
