But Vasgersian said he's growing weary on traveling and hinted that he'd like to cut his workload in 2009. It would be hard to work fewer games than he did this season and still be called the team's TV voice.

Anywhere we can e-mail Matty...

…to tell him we heart him and REALLY want him back? Why, because…

…Vasgersian, Steve Quis (Vasgersian’s backup) and Tony Gwynn (Grant’s backup) work year to year.

Mr. Steve Quis is Matty’s backup. Although a nice guy, we all know how much we LOVE it when The Quisinater is doing the boradcast.

Matty should quit announcing the professional eating circuit

and rock/paper/scissors championship. That’s a start.

Agreed

Instead of cutting back on Padres games, why doesnt he just cut back on all the peripheral extra crap that he broadcasts?

Adding fillers like that makes it look like he has room to fillup. He really doesnt. Except for the offseason. That’s another matter.

He probably enjoys learning and broadcasting about other sports

and the season is too long and boring when you have an uncompetitive team like the Padres.
