The Braves and Padres remain at an impasse in their trade discussions concerning right-hander Jake Peavy, sources say.
The Padres are believed to be asking for five players, knowing the Braves parted with that many when they acquired first baseman Mark Teixeira and left-hander Ron Mahay from the Rangers.

the Braves gave up five prospects for a rental of Teix. They get to keep Jake, probably for ever.
If he will sign up for the hometown discount in San Diego, he will certainly do it for the Braves

If by "sucks" you mean
that he sucks up all of the available intelligence about major league baseball from the most reliable sources, adequately fact-checks and researches every tidbit, then crafts all of the verifiable information into a masterful article with absolutely no question as to the veracity of the information contained therein, then you’re way off base. Otherwise, ditto.
