Here are his MiLB stats

Travis Denker

Not bad. I wonder where they plan on putting him? PDX ? Bringing some competition in for Antonelli and Rodriguez?

I forgot Barrett was still a Padre - considering

he was injured all season. Speaking of 2b, what is going to happen to Edgar? Denker in means Antonelli done. His poor performance at the end of the season sealed the deal. We need more that one kind of superstar offensive player – can’t we do better than this?

I dont think it really means anything for...

…Antonelli or Edgar, Denker is a 22 year old kid who has done well in the minors, the padres had a chance to grab him for free and they did.

What I do think this means is that they will not trade for or sign a veteran 2B to try and fill the hole if one of the three cant handle the job every day.

Aw maaaaan...

Now we gotsta to get Uggla.
So I’m the only one lighting a candle then?

Thank goodness that's over!

I don't know...

Uggla costs money. Something the Padres aren’t going to be throwing around this offseason..
Seems like the plan would be Antonelli + Rodriguez + Gonzalez + Denker = inexpensive platooon options.

an infield of Gonzalez, O. Hudson, and Greene ..

And the Friars could probably have three Cy Young candidates next season. With either Kouz or Headley at the corner, that would arguably be the best infield defense in the game.

It helps that O Dog can even hit a little, and he would make a perfect lead off or number two, something this team sorely needs. Signing Hudson fills a number of holes on this team. He could probably be had very reasonably too. If there is any free agent the friars should be after, it is Orlando Hudson.

They won’t of course .. because as DePodesta pointed out, “Hey we get a great waiver position” .. “All winter”

go padres!

I completely agree.

But It’s not going to happen.

At least EGon, Anto, LRod and Denker

Would be decent backups when O-Dog gets his season ending injury.

Good...I'm Glad

This team needs a transformation so the more new players…the better. And if some leave, that’s good, too!
