Open Thread, October Baseball
Dodgers and Cubs. Angels and Red Socks. Everybody in Southern California plays baseball today, but the Padres.
How do I root? How do I root? I guess I want the Angels over the Socks and the Cubs over the Dodgers. Sure. I'll go with that.

All my friends are Dodger fans...
…so I guess I’m rooting for LA.
I’ll be at game 3 at the Ravine on Saturday, wearing every piece of Padres gear I own. I don’t expect to make it out alive… :-)
Working to kill the beach ball and the wave since 1995.
Derek Lowe
So he’d make a good #3 on the Padres, right?
Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
holy crap vin scully is old
listening to the game online. he just referred to Aramis as the Cubs’ “big butter and egg man”.
i’m opening this up to the peanut gallery. what the hell does that mean????

Now... bare with me here
because I don’t bake, but I have been known to get baked, so this may be convoluted.
When baking a cake, the butter and eggs hold all the flour together?
Also, Vin looks animatronic.

Dodgers down 0-2 on a DeRosa two-run shot
right behind an Edmonds single.

Dempster
They should use that for the name of some kind of garbage receptacle.

Looks LIke Dodgers are going to take Game 1
I acutally want the Dodgers to win the series so the Cubs bomb out and the fans cry.

just got home
hows the angels game going?
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

I'd rather the Dodgers win
At least they’re a California team. And the Cubs and their fans are all such douches, I want to see them collapse and cry.

Where is everbody?
I was sure there would be some posting going on during Cubs – Dodgers. Looks like Zambrano is channeling “Bad Zambrano” tonight. I’m loving it!

He musta got Kouz

Thank goodness that's over!

I'm thinking interference by Derek Lee
And everybody’s talking about his bad luck getting hit on the hand.

Missed it, had a phone call
sounds like typical east coast media bias/destiny crap though which is exactly why I’m rooting for la this round.
Thank goodness that's over!
What's with the fruity hop
that Soriano does catching a routine fly ball?

I know right! Woodie?
and what’s with Zambrano’s pointing to the sky as though he’s testing the direction in the windy city… he’s down 6 nothing. NOTHING! SIX!!!
Thank goodness that's over!

LMFAO
Cubs are so done. About to lose their EIGHTH straight postseason game. Even the Padres have won a postseason game recently.

Where are the Cubbie Bats?
Oh right….in their THROATS…gack….gack…gack
1984 biatches!!!
Bartman and the goat biatches!!!
I hate the Dodgers but bandwagon Cub fans are just as annoying…GO RAYS!
My wife says
“Can’t you see past it and root for the Cubs because it’s been so long?”
And I says “No way, they’ve had the fan base and the money to make a run for it forever. Why should I root for them because they so consistently suck?” Plus, their fans are loud, obnoxious morons.

What an embarrasment.
The Cubs won 97 games and were the highest scoring offense in the majors, and all they can manage is 3 runs in two games AT HOME.
Un-fucking-believable.

wow, just tuned in at top of the 9th
crushed. At least Tony is announcing. Very cool.

This is going to be the worst playoffs ever.
At least the Rays won.

Wow
I think I pleasured myself no less than fifteen times watching the Cubs game. I must have rewound the DVR five times when they had that brief montage of the Cubs failing this year’s and last year’s playoffs, with clips of frustrated Cubs fans spliced in between shots.
I know the Dodgers are hated here, and I can understand that, but Pujols almighty, watching the Cubs get trounced, and to see their miserable fans all sad and weepy makes me ever so satisfied.
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
Best...Dodgers win....Ever!!!!!

Sox/Rays
Watching Grant Balfour tell Orlando Cabrera to take a seat after striking him out last night was awesome.

Orlando Cabrera
I’m thinking is the equivalent to Robert Horry of MLB. He’s seemingly always on a playoff team.
2004 – traded to Red Sox, wins title
2005 – jumps to Angels, goes to ALCS
2006 – rare miss
2007 – still with Angels, goes to ALDS
2008 – goes to White Sox, sneaks into playoffs again
Sure it’s not as impressive as Horry’s Rockets, Rockets, Suns, Lakers, Lakers, Lakers, Lakers, Spurs, Spurs run, but it’s also a lot harder to get into the MLB playoffs than the NBA’s. . .
No wonder nobody likes you, Tuttle... everything's a (Pujols) damn debate.
rays up 2 games to 0
