Outfield options
So, spring training is a few weeks away. While the young guys, Headley and Antonelli, will get a shot at OF in Spring training, I would rather see them start the year in AAA ball to keep there careers on the upward trend.
So we are not going to sign a star, but what we can sign is a reliable 4th outfielder to play LF and some CF. Preferably batting left to platoon with Shrek.
Here are a few names:
I think Lofton is the best choice, due to the fact he will be a good bench guy can play CF in the pinch, and still is a good pinch runner. Bobby Kielty is one of those moneyball type guys, gets on base but has some flaws.

Not a good sign
Gerut
Hitting .390/.488/.567 in the Venezuelan winter leagues doesn't hurt either.

You forgot Bonds
sort of.
Lofton could still have some value, I think....but that would be one old ass outfield.
I think you can run Hairston out in LF for awhile while Headley and our other options get a little more seasoned at AAA. If Hairston can't do a reasonable interpretation of his 07 self, then you call up Headley mid-season and cross your fingers.
btw, the Bill James predictions for Headley, which I'm sure a lot of people around here have seen, are insane.
I suggested Bonds

post Mitchell Report
But if he wanted to play left field for us for a fraction of what he would have normally cost....I'm not saying, "Go, yes, do it." But it would be tempting. Like the Devil. Talking to Jesus. On Mount Baseball.
Good thing Goose and I weren't there...
Aby: Oh, by the way, what nationality are you?
Goose: My mother was a hamster and my father smells of elderberries. Why, what did you think I was?
Aby: Uh, I dunno... a f@#kin hypocrite?
Goose and others: [punching me in the face]
No effin' way.

If Ann Coulter could post a .270/.480/.560
I dislike Bonds as a person as much as anyone else. I'm talking strictly baseball.

Those postseason appearances
Of course, this means nothing unless you're superstitious by nature.
