These back and forth affairs are a little much for me. I think I liked it better when our starters wouldn't get credit with wins, but we'd shut out the other team and score once in the 6th. At least then, I'd know that there wouldn't be so much excitement.

I have no idea how they're in first place. You can't consistently, week after week, score fewer wins than the teams you play against and expect to hang on to first. They remind me of the 2005 Padres except they're in front of good teams.

After the game, Myers got into a shouting match with a reporter and had to be restrained by teammate Pat Burrell.

When Myers was asked about the two home runs, he said they were really "just pop ups."

A reporter from the Philadelphia Inquirer questioned whether Myers really thought they were pop ups, and Myers got angry.

"You're not even a beat reporter, you're a fill-in, you don't know anything about baseball," said Myers, who then called the reporter "retarded."

The Inquirer reporter asked if Myers could spell retarded, and Myers stood up. Burrell then restrained Myers, and Myers refused to speak any further

is that both teams hit on the same field, they didn't move them in for the Padres. The douche wouldn't have been pissy if his team hit a couple of 375-foot homers on a 374-foot fence.
