So who is the face of the Padres? Wiggins aside, do you consider Gwynn the face? What about Hoffman? Can any younger players count?

All-Time, Tony.
No doubt no brainer. Now, Trevor- also a no doubt no brainer even though Jake is having a Cy Young season and a lot of (not always good) press.

Gwynn to the Public
it was a HOF year for him, and even casual fans still look forward to him in the booth or at the stadium.

Jake is more of the face of the franchise for current player, as there is a 'buzz' in the stands when he pitches.  You get the same buzz from Trevor, but never know when and if he will get in the stands.  I have actually heard fans at the game route against the Padres in the 8th not to score so they would get to see Trevor. He is the face of the franchise the same way Big Foot is the face of Yellowstone.

For me it is Wiggins.

We wrote our answer like 3 months ago
it's just now being published.  It had to be someone from the current team.

So you guys totally picked Blum then, right?

No
We voted him for ESPN2's "Hair of the Franchise"

so who did you pick
was it Bowen, Cruz, Branyan or Linebrink.  Because if it was somebody we traded that would be fantabolous.

You know,
I don't really miss his presence in the pen anywhere near as much as just having a guy on the team named "Snacks".
