I went to the Padres game in Hell.A. on Sunday.  It was brutally hot.  Parking was eay and PLENTY of Padres fans.  I was sporting my number 31 jersey with requisite hat but what I wanted to emphasize was the biggest dissapointment of the day.  I went to the 99 cents store with my sister (her idea) and used our purchase to make a sweep medallion.  All you do is tie a broom to a rope and wear it around your neck.  When it gets hot you use it to fan yourself and say things like "gosh is it feeling sweepy in here."

I really wanted that second weep in a row, it would have been so sweet.  The fans wanted a W but our manager was less concerned.  Therein lies the problem.  Listen Bud Black.  I'm 28 and have been in school since I was 5.  NEVER have I just mailed in an exam and breezed through it because I was tired or wanted a break.  Guess what?  That exam is part of the final grade and maybe just maybe those extra points might matter (anyone remember beating the Chokers down last year and winning the division based on a tie breaker?)  You go all out every game, that's how it is played.  period.  Bud, you're my guy and I love the way you handle the bullpen.  But if you EVER just sacrifice a game again we are going to have problems, trust issues if you will.  And I'm sure there are atleast a few fans with me on this.
