Dear Scotty

Scott, you've hurt me bad.  Yesterday the whole family was together, having a nice time. Playing the new Milton Bradley game called 'Monster Home Run' (TM).  Little Kouz was running around (these kids grow up so fast) and he was saying 'home run, home run.'  It started getting late and everything was going so well that Bud called and invited you over.  He said it would be different this time, not to worry, he wouldn't let you hurt me.  I trusted him, like I trusted you.  I could tell something wasn't right.  You came in and you up and hit the first person you saw! Such violence!  After that, you were just wild, throwing things everywhere, destroying our new Milton Bradley game, stealing from our friend Maddux (he's so old already, why steal from an old man?).  I can't go on like this, with you destroying what the rest of us are trying to build.  From now on, I don't want to see you unless it's before 8.  Bud's too nice a guy, but I've told him to drag you out, by force, if you start pulling this kind of crap around me again.  Anyway, I've met someone else.  He hasn't been around long, but things are going really well so far.  Heath is good to me. He takes care of me.  Sure, he's not the shapeliest guy, maybe a little too fond of the cookies, but I can lean on him when things are tough.  And, Scott, that hasn't been the case with us in years.  I know, I know, you'll say that this is just like the fling I had with that Meredith kid last year, where he was all I could talk about.  Maybe it is.  But I'm taking my chances.

I wish it didn't have to end like this. But Goodbye Scott.  Good luck wherever you end up.

That's hilarious!
Good work, Goose.

Now that I've slept on it (as was suggested I do in the thread last night), yeah...I'm still upset.  That game was ours.  But in a way I do feel kinda bad for Scotty.  This is two hold opportunities in a row that he's blown for us.  Even for Scott, who has always had the occassional poor appearance, that's really horrible.  And they weren't mere one-run leads he was protecting...we gave him THREE RUNS both times, and he couldn't keep THREE RUNS from crossing the plate!  Octagenarian Greg Maddux is able to go 5 or 6 innings and keep the opposing team to 1 run...then Scotty comes in give up three runs in a single inning!  I don't understand it.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but I guess the bottom line is I do feel sorry for Scott.  But in the end, he needs to do a little soul-searching and decide if maybe a new line of work isn't in order.  Perhaps he could do play-by-play on Double-X and give Jerry the night off now and then.

Thank you!
...although I am a bit ashamed, as the Khali-Lama would not approve of my slanderous remarks regarding one of my fellow earth-dwellers. Alas, my solace is found in knowing that we shall all fall short of attaining the balance and calm spirit of our wonderful robot friend.

Really now, TTG
I just cleaned up the mess on my desk from your previous post and now this...

I'm running out of paper towels and Windex.  Could you maybe pull a Linebrink so I can restore order here in my office?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

From Scotty's Wikipedia entry:
"He is considered vastly underrated by some."

Anyone know how to edit Wikipedia?

Poor Linebrink
That is funny stuff, TTG, but now I really feel bad for ol' Scotty.  That's brutal.

Good think about Wikipedia, though, is it can change.  Hear that Scotty?  We'll be happy to go in and fix your Wiki entry if you manage to get your act together.

Half of it
is the superstitious side of me relying on the fact that every time we hammer on somebody really bad for sucking, they show us up and shut us up.

The other half is me just plain not liking him and his wicked ways.

Linedrive
I'd like to trademark that... unless anyone else has heard it before I posted it a while ago.
