ESPN Power Rankings

I don't know about you, but I love reading power rankings. I love them even more when the padres are in the top 10. Today... I don't know what to do with my self.

This Week: 1
Last Week: 4
Padres    36-23

There's no place like home. Chris Young has a 0.52 ERA with a .164 BAA at Petco Park.

lineup
and we've been getting it done without giles or greene.  our bench is  finally starting to get better too which is very encouraging

We've been playing well
but we need to hit more. We DO need to improve, Dexter. Sitting atop the ESPN Power Rankings is a fleeting moment. We won't raise a championship flag without improving our team.

this is pretty much the greatest day of my life
i've been waiting to top the power rankings for so long and now my dream has come true
I'm just thankful that we have Blum on the team. His rock solid defense saved the game-jbox

Hmm...
The Pads were also supposed to beat the Cards last year.  And the Chargers were supposed to go to the Superbowl.  You can call me whatever names you want Dex, but being good now has nothing to do with being good in the postseason when the rest of the teams show up to play.  And so what if we're good, can getting better hurt?  Being in first and being the top ranked team means we should be deep in the trade market scouring the rosters of teams falling out of contention in their divisions.

espn power rankings
I think that ranking just jinxed us because we've lost 3 straight since then.
