I was wondering what you guys were thinking we do with the extra roster spot once we send Headley down. I really don't like the thought of bringing up McAnulty again, when we have a couple guys in AAA that have been outplaying him. He's hitting just .270 down there.

AAA infielder Craig Stansberry was just selected to play in the MLB futures game. He's hitting .312 in Portland and apparently is one of the best defensive players in our system. He's 25 so I would think he'd be ready to see some time. Plus I would love to have someone other than Blum to sub in the infield.

We also have outfielder Vince Sinisi, who's leading Portland with a .320 average and nine home runs. He's 26 so another guy that would be ready to see some time. Oscar Robles is another option and I liked having him on the team better than P-Mac.

Does anyone knew any details on these guys, specifically Stansberry and if we have to keep him in the minors because of one of those weird rules? I know he was drafted by another team and we ended up with him. I just think it might be worth giving another guy a shot, because we've seen what McAnulty can do.
