Padres Win 11th in a row

What a great game last night, Clay has been on fire since he came up when Wells went on the DL. Although I was a little nervous when he gave up that home run to Kent in the 8th, but having K-Cam come in and shut it down for Trevor in the ninth., (glad Bell is able to get 3 days off) I knew we would win.  After dropping that strange game in the openner against Baltimore (damn you BLUM!!!), we have been nothing but lights outs, sweeping San Fran, Boston (withoug Ortiz and Youk though), and the Dodgers.

I thought M-Giles quote about the team being afraid Dex was going to send them down to portland being a motivator was interesting.

I think that jbox dumping the unicorns in favor of platypusses was unconventional, but seems to be working.

How come we have no starters in the All-Star game???

I love how...
...even in our happiest fantasy about the Padres...Blum is still taking heat. Classic.

At least he made history
being the first DH ever to make a fielding error, that takes talent.
"Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"

My favorite part
You know what part of the streak really thrilled me?

Holding Manny to one useless single in the Boston series.  Our bullpen owned him, especially Cla.  If you'd asked me if I thought that could happen, like, two weeks ago I would've said "No way.  We can't even beat the Mariners."
