Just grumbling about MLB's requirements for a pitcher to receive a win... I have Sergio Mitre on my fantasy baseball team and he got hurt after pitching four shutout innings leaving with a 3-0 lead and the pitcher who relieved him got the win for pitching 2 innings. The minimum 5 innings for a starting pitcher to receive a win is kind of crap if the starting pitchers leaves with the lead and all relievers pitch less innings than him. So by the rules, a starting pitcher can leave after 4 and 2/3 innings with a 10-0 lead, heck... lets say he's throwing a perfect game, be relieved by 3 pitchers who all throw an inning a piece... And the win goes to the pitcher who finished the fifth inning even though he only pitched one inning? Hmmm...
