Nicest ballplayers

Sports Illustrated has poll (notice, I did not say it was interesting) about who is the friendliest and unfriendliest ball players, voted on by the players:

Obviously Bonds and Kent take 1&2 for unfriendliest. A little concerning, though that a Giles didn't place in the friendliest category considering all the love they've been known to give/are willing to give at a moments notice. Additionally, it's clear that if airport security guards were voting, JP would win unfriendliest.

Wow
It wasn't even close for friendliest player. It's interesting that about twice as many NL West players disliked Kent over Bonds.

giles friendlist?
I think, really, they should take a quote on creepiest...

He'd stand a much better chance there.

Some players probably don't like the giles' trademark brand of "friendly."

Take kent, for example, how would he respond to giles?

Kent....
We can all be VERY thankful that we'll never have to find out. The Dodgers can have that a-hole.

Casey
Being a Reds fan (and new transplant to SD) I can say that without a doubt Casey is ridiculously friendly with fans and opposing players, but if you sit near the dugout you can hear him curse like a sailor after he hits into one of his typical double plays (he is soooooo slow).  I would have been floored if anyone had beaten Sean.

Just have to say
I have had the pleasant opportunity to meet Jake Peavy and I have to say he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Along with Scott Linebrink. I am surprised neither of them are on the list.

public persona
Peavy's big move in the offseason was to get all up and sassy to airport security. Needs to do image repair, one fan at a time.
