2007 Padres Predictions
Last year I came up one game short in my predictions but I predicted the NL West win. I think I was the closest. theNerdHater predicted the Cardinals winning the NL. Too bad he didn't pick them to win it all.
This year I'm doing something a little bit different. I'm going to use remote viewing to see the future.
My prediction is 90 wins and another NL West Win.
Give me your predictions, just be careful if you are using the dark arts to summon all knowing apparitions. Their services are not free and it may cost you your soul!
If you insist on using a Ouija Board then fine, but don't bring spirits from evil realms into our universe. That's not going to do anybody any good.

Pads will win the division
I'm going on the record with 89 wins to do it.
I think it will be another dog fight until the very end.
Biggest challenges will come from LA and AZ.
I don't see the rockies and the giants doing much.
I think how they do in the playoffs is 100% based upon how well they are playing at the moment the postseason starts. If we've learned one thing in the last couple years its that the Pads are a very streaky team.

yikes
i could see the dodgers going on a run too, but their rotation doesn't scare me at all.
our rotation is good, but if it gets hit with the injury bug (wells and peavy at the same time?) we could go into a real bad slump. the only positions on the field where i am confident in our competence in CF, RF, C and 1B. everyone other starter is a quartion mark in some way, making it impossible to predict (unless you've been a Padres fan for too long, in which case you know what will happen).

D-Backs vs. Padres...
Randy Johnson hasn't faced the Padres since 2004...or about 8 back surgeries ago.
"Cy Young Award Winner" Brandon Webb has a 3-5 record with an ERA of 4.01 in 14 career starts vs. the Padres. That's including the beating the Padres gave him in his last start of the 2006 season in Arizona. Four innings and seven runs...all of them earned.
I wouldn't exactly say that the Padres "always have trouble" against those three.
Remember, we lost Woody Williams for a pretty significant stretch last season and our fill-ins did a damn good job of filling the void. I would be much more worried about the health of Randy Johnson than David Wells.

Déjà Vu
I love our pitching and the depth we have at AAA is great. My biggest concern is power. If Kevin lives up to expectations, it may not be so bad. I'm also very interested to see how Bud manages the offense.
We definitely have the talent to go far this year.
Vote Peavy for Cy Young!!

Same Here
People are expecting a lot of the D-Backs, but I don't see Randy Johnson doing much, and they're pretty young.

NL Pennant
Peavy vs. Santana at Petco for game seven of the WS. Peavy pitches 8 Scoreless. Hoffman, gives up the game winning HR to Jones. Santana throws a no-no.
Dodger win 50 games and MLB decides the franchise should be shut down.
