Randy Wolf will be living in Slash's house, pitching relief

Two very interesting things about one of our newest Padres and both are from this here celebrity real estate blog. In particular, this quote:

The buyer of Slash's house appears to be San Diego Padres relief pitcher (and San Fernando Valley native) Randy Wolf.
A couple shocking things:
  1. Randy Wolf is going to buy Slash's house.
  2. Randy Wolf is going to be pitching in relief for the San Diego Padres and the real estate industry knew about it first.
The least shocking thing is that this whole thing suggests that Randy Wolf is a GNR fan. Slightly more shocking than that is that a good half of our readers probably don't know what GNR is.

Ugh
"...a good half of our readers probably don't know what GNR is."

I love it when this place makes me feel ancient.

(And why is he buying a house in LA?  Has he never driven on the 405?  Is he still in love with the Dodgers?  Is he some sort of double secret agent?  This is not a good start to your Padre career, Randy.  Not a good start at all.)

"Classic"
I like that much better.  Thanks, Demoira:)

I would be willing to wager
that even the youngest of gaslamp ballers know GNR. For your viewing enjoyment, 5 minutes in heaven.

I'd agree with that
You have to give the young people more credit.  After all, Slash is featured in the latest Guitar Hero.  I'm sure all the kids think he's a righteous dude.

You know that somewhere
every now and then, some kid ends up telling his friends "Hey, did you know these guys were in other bands before Velvet Revolver?"

If it has a hot tub
I advise not getting in it.

Winfield's Ghost
Don't beat on Wolfie too bad - LA is his hometown, his family is still in LA, etc.  That's half the reason he signed with the Pads (the other half being that Colletti is an idiot).

Doesn't know GNR?

The funny part is
I recall a game thread from this past summer when I had to explain to the 17YOGP who G'n'R were.

by TheThirdGonzalez on Dec 30, 2007 7:58 PM PST reply actions

Haha I remember that!
And thanks to you, this time I knew exactly what you all were talking about!

(for the record, I knew who Guns and Roses were before that summer conversation, I just didn't know they went by GNR)

First CD I every bought
was Appetite for Destruction, had it on tape but Sweet Child in digital was too much to resist.

My favorite off of Appetite
is definately "It's So Easy". I liked them best during the G'n'R Lies era, though.
