MLB GMs recommending instant replay. Did you miss that? Well, check the tape, bitches.

I really hope the GMs get their proposal through. The best part about this? The idea that there will be a "Replay Judge" somewhere in the stadium watching the tape. Even better... put a camera on him. Then, when a play is up for review, put the Replay Judge up on the jumbotron. Only... don't ever show his face. Just show his silhouette on the phone a la Deal or No Deal.

Everybody would be watching the jumbotron intently, waiting for this faceless being to make the final call on the game. Then, have Howie Mandel pick up the phone and break the news to everyone in the ballpark. Or have a Speak & Spell voice be like, "The ru-ling on the fi-eld... stands."

Replay In Baseball
A travesty of an enormous nature. I will weep if this is inacted.
Let's go drink some beer.

Agreed
We've made it the past 100+ years without it just fine, I think we'll be OK without it. Just means the umps are gonna be even lazier. Can you say crutch?

Speak & Spell
HAHA!! I used to try and get it to say the "bad" words.
Matt Holliday never touched the plate and Tim McClelland knows it.

Do you mean something like
Mike Hunt likes the Hugh J. Boner?

I'm old school....
I thin the Umps get MOST of the calls right, but as we have seen from this years playoffs alone, baseball parks are getting built with more fucked up dimensions all the time, so I approve of this as long as we can do the deal or no deal thing, and they can bring in some of the girls.

"The ruling on the field....Sarah open the case... dramtic music stands!"

or....

"We will find out if it was a hr or not....after the 7th inning stretch! Don't forgot to text in your choice at 59595 to win dinner with Geoff Blum and Team Cory!"

Oh and it doesn't make the game lag like it does in football...a couple red sox games were 4+ hours by themselves this postseason...

...and we're STILL waiting for MATT HOLLIDAY to touch the plate.

I think video replay
would actually speed up the game.  None of those long arguments with all the coaches taking the field and getting booted.  In that amount of time we could just get the correct call.

The way I see it
4+ hour games just means I get more baseball. I'm all for video replay.
Matt Holliday never touched the plate and Tim McClelland knows it.
