FriarFest Recap Thread

I didn't stay for too terribly long, but I had a blast. I was really happy with how relatively inexpensive it was. Although I did pass on the game-used merchandise (god help the fella who bought Boomer's game-used pants).

Star-divide

I took a few pictures, but nothing too cool.

The Friar doesn't like Marco Scutaro (yes, I was the one guy in the A's shirt)

So I took out my aggression on Barry Bonds. They had a similar setup for a batting cage thing. You could pick one of like 20 pitchers. Had I gone in, I would've stepped in against notable asshat Curt Schilling. The fun would have come to a halt, however, when I become the first person to charge the virtual mound.

Todd Walker... who still has the Red Sox stinch on him... sorry.

So... for those who went... what did you experience?

today
Hey JLaff, I saw you, I think it was on the lawn by the Padre.  I though "what the heck" at your A's shirt.  I also saw some little jackass kid in a Dodger hat.

I had a good time, it just seemed kinda low key.  They really rushed you through the clubhouse right after you get in there.  I had fun walking on the field and trying to get the best wall leap photo we could.  All in all a great day of fun.  How many days til opening day???

Marco! Scutaro!
Hey JLaff...my boyfriend and I saw you in your A's t-shirt today. We actually debated whether we should shout "Marco!" at you to get you do do the "Scutaro!" thing back.

We ended up deciding not to...

cool pics
is Todd Walker wearing a wallet chain?  Are those in style?  Baseball players always seem to be a good ten years out of fashion.
