The fact that Towers is meeting with Wells' agent and not Wells' himself would seem to indicate that Wells does want to come back and pitch for us.
It's also nice to read Rosenthal's take on the NL West, and how we are no longer the default worst division in baseball. He doesn't even mention Peavy or CY when talking about the great young pitching in the division and still makes it sound tough.
