Lets go Ho!

Gwynn
said Piazza hit a batting practice home run half way up the score board in dead center field.  That is a hell of a long way.

grrrrrr Khalil
Khalil is starting to look worthless whenever he doesn't hit a home run. He needs to pick that .220 average up BADLY. Just grounded nicely into a double play to end the first with two men on. What drives me really so crazy about it is the way he looks so content with his .220 average.

HEY GO FUCKING FIGURE
Castilla grounded out to shortstop/third.

GO HOME, GRANDPA.

I'm sorry guys, I respect Castilla thoughout his career, but he has been near worthless for a while for us.

Dont
I feel like a total ass. Whatever, he's still in the hole after fifty zillion ground outs.

by Brad @ Gaslamp Ball on Jun 7, 2006 7:37 PM PDT up reply actions

Another double play
two in as many innings! Maybe we'll set a franchise record in DB's...

Tony Gwynn
Tony Gwynn used Ash bats, he says the majority use Maple now which is why so many bats are exploding.

I'm back!
Guys, I'm back. What have I missed? Is the Ho awesome? The Ho's awesome, right?

Do you think anyone told Cassidy....
...that's exactly what they brought him on not to do?

by goose1 on Jun 7, 2006 7:34 PM PDT reply actions

Well...
He did end the inning by picking off the runner before giving up the homer.  Go first base ump!

I love that vinny.

by Dex on Jun 7, 2006 7:37 PM PDT reply actions

Back to Back
jacks!

6-5 PADRES!

AGon continues his hitting streak and Castilla follows up with another huge home run.

by jbox on Jun 7, 2006 7:37 PM PDT reply actions

HEY GO FUCKING FIGURE
Castilla homers on 0-2.......

by bondsbeliever on Jun 7, 2006 7:37 PM PDT reply actions

you see that?
Those are 7 homeruns that came naturally and without anything in the way of enhancers.

That's 100% Mexican Muscle.

Are you a Mexi-can or a Mexi-can't?

by Dex on Jun 7, 2006 7:43 PM PDT up reply actions

so what does that say
about the 40+ he hit per season with the Rockies?

by bondsbeliever on Jun 7, 2006 7:47 PM PDT up reply actions

I think he had his right blinker on
when he was still with them

by bondsbeliever on Jun 7, 2006 7:54 PM PDT up reply actions

so does tony overanalyze hitting
or is he insane when he says the belt high fastball is hard to hit?

by bondsbeliever on Jun 7, 2006 7:56 PM PDT reply actions

We dont
talk badly about Tony Gwynn in this city. I think he was giving the benefit of the doubt to Sack of Potatoes.

Have you
Seen that commercial where the guys are watching the dots, and the one dude comes in and starts asking them about it, and the manager comes in and says, "You agitatin my dots? dont agitate my dots" thats how Tony Gywnn is. TG=Dots

by From the 303 on Jun 7, 2006 8:10 PM PDT up reply actions

That's probably his toughest pitch
Cause you figure after a while, he probably didn't ever see belt high fastballs.

Finally
That is a huge victory for us.
